CURIOSITY | COMMUNITY | CREATIVITY

curiosity

A core part of both my personality and my work approach is an incisive curiosity that cuts through the noise. My modus operandi is to ask questions, not for the sake of asking them but to gain clarity and understanding. As an endlessly curious fact-finder (Kolbe Index), I strive to ask [good] questions to help us get closer to the best solutions faster.

To me, everything is worth interrogation.

community

None of us exist or work in a vacuum. I see it as my duty to keep the communities served/impacted by my clients front and center (this includes your team members!). We will work hard together to square your project with whoever constitutes your community, ensuring you make the most sound decision for long-term success.

creativity

I believe in the power of creativity to imagine new futures. We must be willing to try creative solutions to our challenges, lest we risk valuable resources and momentum. My creative philosophy for working with clients includes:

  • Approaching every step of the project with openness

  • Assessing available resources to deploy with the least amount of labor

  • Adapting strategies as information becomes available

  • Seeking opportunities for innovation

my commitments to you

The PERSONAL IS [STILL] POLITICAL

Black epistemologies and cosmologies guide how I research, communicate, and know. My deep knowing comes from hard work within the public sector and generations of Black grandmothers, sisters, conjure women, church ladies, educators, archivists, and problem solvers. Their resourcefulness and clarity are compass needles.

My identities remind me of my responsibility to my ancestors. To justice. To truth.

I will ask hard questions.

I will bring high energy and a sense of curiosity to our project.

I will consistently challenge you to (re)align your values and language with your work.

I will elevate ethical considerations.
